CHALLENGE OF CREATIVE JOY
About the creative process, the artist reveals that from the moment she enters the studio "it is the material that pulls." She goes in with a "little idea whether it’s going to be a painting or sculpture " but what she is looking for is a "completely free experience."
Claudia Lima describes: "I give a dash and a dash will pull another stroke. I then start structuring. I start feeling, and then I really get into it. I touch and compose the work.
Because I have to like, I'm doing it for me. The truth is that I'm doing it for me. It is me who has to like it, and I don´t leave until I like it. I destroy, build, do whatever
I have to do, but I have to like it. It is a challenge. I am in a constant
challenge. It is almost like playing there and being
there is a joy. "
